I do like to set up ' ideas ' to photograph. Recently I have been working with puppets. In, The Players, I wanted to show the sinister mimicry of life that puppets have.
A friend has an unbelievable attic stuffed with abandoned objects accumulated over many years, by him, and the previous owners of the house. From my interest came Attic Pictures a series of images of objects that had been stored, forgotten and marooned in time. Attic Life is a group of photographs and ephemera inspired by time spent at the Family Research Centre exploring and inventing an illusionary pictorial past.
Long suffering members of my extended family are roped in to dress up and perform in these and other charades.
I use both digital and film cameras.
