'Interior Image'
John Larkin

Titles, in my view, may seem a means to a more profound understanding of creative work but more often are an impediment to the deeper appreciation of the viewer. Thought, acceptance, or rejection is all that can and should be expected. Then why Interior Image for this group of prints; is it just a clumsy attempt to indicate a work process? There is some relevance as it may be noticed that the prints are composed of elements of technology which can be found on the farm, factory and the scrap heap. In themselves they offer vast variety in terms of shape, size and colour. When they are processed digitally they take on new forms becoming something else as though an inner nature has been revealed, or so it seems. Enough said.

'Blue'
Mick Beale

After taking early retirement I decided to concerntrate on my life long interest in art and passion for painting. This has seen me gradually progress to a looser impressionistic way of putting paint to canvas, giving a textured and tactile appearance.

I concerntrate on landscapes and with the exhibition 'Blue', I am exploring the landscape at night and what can be created using a limited one colour palette.

'Snippets'
Lindy Pieri

I am fascinated by twins, doubles and reflections; perhaps this is because I started life as a twin and my identical twin sister died. This exhibition comprises snippets from my research into twins as well as letters, photographs found and new, and objects significant to the memory of my twin sister.

'EDGE'
Hazel Bignell

Born in Suffolk, I attended Norwich School of Art achieving B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art. I work from my studio in the village of Stowlangtoft.

I feel passionate about my art work. I spend hours by the cliff and waters edge on Suffolk beaches sketching, observing, walking, taking photos for reference and collecting found objects of interest which are later used in art work. I paint in mainly acrylics combining mixed media on board or canvas in varying sizes and formats.
I aim to achieve atmospheric tactile pieces which reveal their secrets over a period of time. I love the process and the challenge of seeking new ways to express my ideas.

There are no formulas or fixed rules, they are directed by experience and intuitively develop a life of their own. Recurrent interlinked THEMES that feature in my work are: SEA, BEACH, CLIFF, SHADOWS, FOUND, HEARTSTONE.

'2006'
Marc Bedingfield

Born in Ipswich in 1974, I have enjoyed spending time in the countryside for as long as I can remember and began to study Environmental Conservation in 1990. It was here that I fully learned to appreciate the delicate balance of nature and the challenges it faces, from the intricate eco systems of the heathlands to the issues of coastal erosion. I try to bring my knowledge of the environment in to the work I produce, documenting the landscape around us and representing it in my own style.

In 2004 I decided to concentrate exclusively on landscapes. Since then my work has been published in magazines, books and calendars, as well as being sold in a variety of retailers and exhibited in a number of galleries.

Country Aspects
Paul Burnham

Paul, formerly from Norfolk and now living in Suffolk, has always been passionate about photography, wildlife and the countryside. He has formerly combined these interests, using his photographs to illustrate lectures on wildlife conservation and now to document the changing countryside and its people.

The exhibition is mainly black and white landscapes, with many taken locally. All of his work is carried out using film and traditional darkroom techniques. Each print is hand printed and toned to produce a unique image.

His photographs have been published in the press, numerous magazines and he has held four solo exhibition.
